I feel that I have to apologize for my lack of attentiveness to the Avatars Site. A few months ago, the server crashed, and while I was able to restore most of what had been lost, not everything was backed up. (That's been fixed now). I've restored the forum to include all the boards that had once been there, and I encourage everybody to pass this announcement on to those who are still in game, or no longer playing that were once Avatars.
I had hoped that the community forum would be a place for all Avatars, past and present to discuss the game, real lives, and goof off with each other, like it was it was several years ago when we were theavatars.com. I haven't been able to play in several months either, since I have a shortage of funds.
While on the note of funds, the website too costs money. To help keep our website alive, I've set up a Donation method, under Paid Subscriptions. If you come to the site, you'll see a link at the upper right hand corner. The cost is only $5.00 a year, and will help greatly in keeping the site alive. Even though the cost is far lower than it once was (all we have to pay for is the domain registration), I'm having a hard time coming up with the funds to pay for it. The registration is due in May. If there is interest in keeping the site, which will be determined by members posting and registering, then I'll figure out a way to scrape the money together to pay for another year. Otherwise, I'll have to let the site die quietly.
